The Beginning of Our Story
A daily ritual turned into an obsession: real freeze dried fruit, tropical flavors, and infused sugars, all blended in a tiny studio kitchen in Hawaii. Friends kept coming back. Soldiers started placing orders. Even family who had never visited flew across the ocean to taste what everyone was talking about.
That's when a hobby became a calling. With the discipline and grit he gained in the Army, and the courage to walk away from a promising academic path, Andrew built the brand from nothing but heart and hustle. Even the name came from the community: a close friend born and raised on the North Shore named it Local Boiz Hawaiian Mix Tea.
Brotherhood Joins the Brand
Life happens, and people go their own ways. When that friend moved on, Mark Talaeai, aka Mr. Mean, took up the mantle. He joined Andrew to grow the company, and he brought the one thing the brand still needed: brotherhood.
Don't let the name Mr. Mean fool you, because anyone who knows him knows the truth: he has the biggest heart in the room. Where Andrew brought the recipes and the vision, Mark brought the energy, the connections, and the kind of loyalty you can't teach. Together they became more than business partners. They became braddahs, the kind who show up early, stay late, and never let the other one carry the load alone.
More Than a Drink
Every blend carries that spirit. Each one is mixed with the same care as that first cup in the studio kitchen, made for the early risers, the grinders, and anyone who needs a moment of peace. Local Boiz Hawaiian Mix Tea is more than a drink. It's a taste of the islands, built on aloha and shared one cup at a time.
